Around 4 PM on my way home from town I was stuck behind school bus traffic on Brooktondale Rd. about a 1/2 mile from Rt79. As I was waiting a fairly large hawk flew across the road towards Six Mile Creek. My initial reaction had been Coopers, but the tail was very dark with narrow white bands. It landed long enough on the near side of the creek for me to get a decent look through binoculars, and it was indeed a Red-Shouldered. It flew across the creek and I lost it. As I was getting into my car it started calling, a loud kee yur repeated several times, but I wasn't able to re-find it visually.
