This morning I watched the feeders at the Montezuma Audubon Center for about 5
minutes. The usual crew was there, including a RED-WINGED BLACKBIRD. I tried to
manipulate eBird to tell me the most recent sightings in this area, and I
couldn't figure it out. I know it's not unusual to see RWBBs
FOY Red-winged Blackbird singing in the yard. Must have come in on the strong
south wind!

Saw a line red-winged blackbird today in North Lansing. It hasn't made it
all the way to the feeders in my yard that I can tell, but it's getting
closer.

I was surprised just now to see a male RED-WINGED BLACKBIRD on my deck
under the feeders here in Brooktondale. Wish he'd made an appearance the
day of the count.

Enjoying my FOY lone male RED WINGED BLACKBIRD feeding on ground here in
Lansing. Very dark black with red yellow epaulets.
I listened around North Lansing in suitable habitats for Woodcocks last
evening, but none heard.

The first sound I heard as I set foot outside this morning was a RED-WINGED BLACKBIRD singing from my neighbor's tree. I knew a few had come back and I've been keeping an eye out, but I didn't expect my first of the year to be a yard bird. It was disorienting, as often happens when I first hear a
Pleasant surprise this morning to find a male Red-winged Blackbird at my
feeders here in Dryden.

I heard my first Red-winged black birds singing on Sunday. They may have been
singing earlier in the week but I was still in hibernation mode. There were at
least 3 in my backyard in West Groton. Also, I had a swarm of little bugs
drowned in a water bucket I left on the sidewalk overnight.
