Hi,

I am looking for 2 volunteers for this year's Spring Field Ornithology
class, March 21- May 13th.

First, a volunteer for Wednesday nights to help set up and clean up from
the Wednesday night lectures, in exchange for free participation in the
lecture portion of the class.

Second, for free field trips, I am looking for a computer-efficient,
detail-oriented person to compile and tally the weekly checklists from the
field trips. This involves getting the checklists from the 4-8 trip
leaders, entering the data online, and formatting the compiled data to a
pdf that I will then upload to the class website. The challenge with this
job is getting all the data entered & formatted by Monday so the checklists
can be on the website by Tuesday morning.

Finally, I hope you saw Peter Cashwell's great article about SFO, "You Must
Believe in Spring", in the latest issue of Living Bird?
http://www.allaboutbirds.org/Page.aspx?pid=2404&ac=ac If you've taken
SFO, you'll recognize familiar faces, and if you haven't taken the class,
it will make you happy about spring coming back here soon!
