Hi,

I stopped by Stewart Park this evening at 7:00 to see what else might be
around. The highlight was a juvenile STILT SANDPIPER actively foraging with
a LEAST SANDPIPER next to the dock. It must be the same bird I reported
this morning as a Pectoral although that bird was highly lethargic and
center-weighted in its foraging motions--more like a Dowitcher. Other
somewhat notable birds included a RUDDY DUCK, the GREATERLESSER SCAUP, the
continuing RUDDY TURNSTONE on the white jetty, two GREAT EGRETS flying in at
7:33, a SOLITARY SANDPIPER on the golf course, my first COMMON MERGANSER
offshore since early July, and at least two very vocal immature
BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERONS around the swan pen.

Good birding
