Had a good day birding, but missed Chris's two best birds. Best we could find was a pale basic-plumaged STILT SANDPIPER with about a dozen Short-billed Dowitchers along Towpath Road. Kudos to the Montezuma crew for creating a number of openings in the vegetation that allow some close shorebird
