Had a good day birding, but missed Chris's two best birds.  Best we could find 
was a pale basic-plumaged STILT SANDPIPER with about a dozen Short-billed 
Dowitchers along Towpath Road.

Kudos to the Montezuma crew for creating a number of openings in the vegetation 
that allow some close shorebird viewing off of Towpath.  If you like Great Blue 
Herons (400+) or Bald Eagles (10+), or maybe Black Terns in various stages of 
black and white plumage, then East and Towpath roads are for you!
