While returning from the Rochester area today Jessie Barry, Carolyn Sedgwick, Martjan Lammertink and I saw a dark rufous-morph juvenile Western Red-tailed Hawk (B. j. calurus). I've only seen three others in the Northeast. This bird was northwest of Sheldrake point on CR 138. The exact location is mapped with the photo on the link below.
