This morning at 6:15 a couple of Wood Ducks short-hopped over the ridge behind the West Danby Fire Station to visit my pond. They were about to hit the water, but aborted at the last moment when they spotted me. Turkeys are gobbling. We could see a foot of snow in the next 48 hours. -Geo
