A YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER just started singing from Salt Point. It quickly
moved across the creek to the Myers side, then over to above the
kayak/concessions building, and now it sounds like it's over in the clump
of woods west of the marina, but it seems to be moving around a lot and

I think my comment what appeared to be copulation gives too strong an
expression to my observation. If it were true then I would have to say there
are three birds, because I'm assuming that females don't sing, and I'm not
prepared to say that yet as much as I would like it to be. Let me restate

8th time's a charm! With a brief window in downtown Ithaca before an

Ken Rosenberg just called to report a YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER on Mohawk Road
in Lansing, just north of the airport. The site is at the north end of
Mohawk, just before the road bends east (and becomes Neimi). The woods on
the west side of north Mohawk are flooded - the Yellow-throated (and a
At 4:30pm the Yellow-throated Warbler was still around, though not by
the road. It was in the stand of pines about 200 yards east on the old
RR grade. I suspect that it's moving back and forth between that stand
of pines and the stand by the road.

Jessie and I were interrupted in our writing projects by a YELLOW-THROATED
WARBLER that was singing from the white pines over our house at 31 Monkey
Run Road. As I type the bird seems to be heading east along the old RR
grade.
