Hi all,
I just witnessed one of those sad natural scenes - a female cowbird stole two
eggs from a phoebe nest, which is above the light at our back door, and
proceeded to eat the yolks. Phoebes are common cowbird hosts and I assume she
will lay in that nest, and that's I know this is just the way things are, but
still sad to see especially after watching the phoebes build and start to
incubate.
