Cayugabirders, Sadly, I found a male Prothonotary Warbler on Forest Home Dr. in Ithaca yesterday evening right along Fall Creek. Other than not being alive, the bird is in good shape and will be preserved as a specimen at the CU Museum of Vertebrates. I'm not sure when the last one was seen in Tompkins County, but the most recent sighting in eBird from the county is from 1996... along with Chris and Jessie's Yellow-throated Warbler, I wonder if there are other southern birds around?
