Friday (8 Jan) I saw a female surf/white-winged scoter off Stewart Park from the tennis courts, but was unable to pin down the ID due to brief poor looks with waves, diving, heat shimmer, wind, snow, etc. Sorry for the late and vague report. There were hunters & decoys at the southeast corner of the lake, and later 2 sailkiters on the ice. --Dave Nutte
