I also saw a few lightning bugs out just this weekend around our house in the
Mount Pleasant/Ringwood Rd. area and thought the same thing—early!

In know this isn’t a bird but it does fly. Last night about 2:00 am I saw a
Lightening Bug out back of our house in a brushy area. We often see them in
late June, but in May?

Re: [cayugabirds-l] Non-bird: Lightening Bug

2021-05-22 Thread William Baker
While it’s a bit far afield- I was in Saratoga Spring earlier this week and
there where quite a few Lightening Bugs around both Wed and Thurs evenings.

And to add a bird note- I had my FOY Blackpoll this morning at the Ithaca
Farmers Market in between the pavilion and the water in the tall trees towards
the south end.
