Shortly after 9am I was walking in the big field east of the Lab of O and south of NYS-13 the airport. I did not see or hear any Swamp Sparrows or Virginia Rails or Eastern Meadowlarks, only traffic. I did venture under the power lines briefly where I flushed an immature BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON
