Yesterday, 26 March, I reported watching a raven sitting beside a yard at
junction of Neimi Road and Hanshaw Road. (I also spelled Neimi incorrectly).
Actually it was on the S side of intersection of ETNA and Hanshaw, where there
are actually houses.

Some signs of spring around Ithaca on Sunday:
* Two or three FOX SPARROWS on the brushy slope in the Newman Arboretum –
two heard singing (audible clear across the pond), one seen kicking around
under dense cover
* One FOX SPARROW at Palmer Woods, singing unseen at the corner of brush
closest
On Dodge Rd there are curremtly five woodcocks displaying. Plus a bonus
winnowing snipe. Right now about 400 ft from Ellis Hollows road jct two of the
woodcocks calling quite close to the road.
