Yesterday we had one white-throated sparrow and then one white-crowned sparrow
foraging under the shrubs and feeders. The white-crowned showed up again today
for a brief time.

Just drove past the nesting platform on the NYSEG pole and there was an
Osprey sitting on the standing dead tree directly across Rte 89.

They arrived in the 'Northeast Ithaca' neighborhood yesterday and apparently on
West Hill on Thursday.
A surprise BROWN THRASHER was double scratching in the garden with the many
White-throated Sparrows yesterday, and PINE SISKINS at our feeders yesterday
and today.

Did anyone else notice if House Wren arrived in their neighborhood today? One
has been bubbling away in our yard all morning, bouncing from territory edge to
territory edge.
Nice to hear them back.
Good birding!

After not having any for a few weeks, today I just saw at least 7 PINE SISKINS
at my feeders with all the A. GOLDFINCHES.
Also, am enjoying hearing and seeing WHITE THROATED SPARROWS one ground food
and in woods nearby.
Still seeing and hearing C. LOONS on Cayuga Lake.

Hi,
House Wrens returned last Sunday in Skaneateles along with some White-throated
Sparrows and a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker which is a new yardbird.

For those who may not know: there are eaglets on the Aurora nest and the
nest at mud lock. The osprey cam viewable from the Refuge Visitor's
Center shows at least one egg in the osprey nest.
And both ospreys and eagles seemed to be everywhere today in the
northern part of our basin.in
