We just had a large flock of Starlings come through just north of West Danby ~8:50. It was like a scene from "The Birds." The lawn was black with birds. Then about 09:00 a smaller group of several dozen came through. Yesterday, Wed, was when we actually got 6 RWB instead of just one or two. The

This morning at 6:15 a couple of Wood Ducks short-hopped over the ridge behind the West Danby Fire Station to visit my pond. They were about to hit the water, but aborted at the last moment when they spotted me. Turkeys are gobbling. We could see a foot of snow in the next 48 hours. -Geo
