There are many hundreds of Tundra swans very close to shore in calm water along
Lower Lake Road, north and south of Cayuga Lake State Park. It’s an amazing
sight. Also several groups of 20-30 hooded mergansers, some scaup, wigeon, rudy
ducks, redhead, gadwall, lots of mallards and of course lots of Canada geese.
The amazing thing is how close to shore they are and how calm the water is.
