in this area--it appeared to have substantial dark coloration then, but it was too far away to tell with my small binoculars today. I have heard through the grapevine that a Snowy was seen in this area in past years as well, so perhaps this is the bird's vacation spot, so to speak. Daniel Graham Tburg
