Good morning!

This message is an update and reminder of the Info and List Rules for
Cayugabirds-L.

Currently, there are over 680 subscribed email addresses to this eList. What
this means is that care should be taken when posting to Cayugabirds-L. Be sure
your message is appropriate for everyone on Cayugabirds-L.

Please do *not* include attachments (pictures, audio clips, PDFs, Word
documents, etc.) when posting to Cayugabirds-L. These types of attachments can
lead to unnecessary clutter on the eList server and result in delays in the
processing of potentially time-sensitive postings to the List. Instead, please
provide a link to a URL where interested subscribers can go to, in order to
view images or documents.

I realize we are in the latter part of the breeding season, but please be
extremely cautious when attempting to see breeding birds, especially rare or
sensitive breeders. Using playbacks during the breeding season is not advisable
because of the potential negative impact to their success. One person may have
minimal impact, but when more than one person uses playbacks on a single rare
bird multiple times per day, this can have a significant negative impact.
Please use common sense and be courteous to the birds and your fellow birders
in this respect.

In order to subscribe to, leave from, or temporarily postpone your subscription
(vacation setting) from Cayugabirds-L, please use the instructions outlined at
NortheastBirding.com<http://NortheastBirding.com>
(http://www.NortheastBirding.com).

Please take a moment to review the List Rules at
NortheastBirding.com<http://NortheastBirding.com>. If we all try to adhere to
these basic rules and use common sense, Cayugabirds-L will continue to run
smoothly and be a pleasant forum for everyone.

Please do not hesitate to contact me, off List, if you have any questions. I
will do my best to respond as quickly as possible, but sometimes a delay in
responding may occur - don't hesitate to ping on me again!

Thanks very much and good birding!

Sincerely,
Chris T-H
