Snowy weather has brought lots of birds to my feeding areas here in Lansing.
Plus I heard a Loon on lake.
So far I have seen 16 pine siskins FOY here !, a red-breasted nut hatch, a
beautiful fox sparrow, 20 mourning doves, 6 dark-eyed juncos, a Carolina Wren,
4 cardinals, lotsa blue jays, & se
Among lots of other nice birds this sunny PM, I saw the Oregon dark-eyed junco
(!) at Fritzie Blizzard’s in Union Springs and over 80 red-breasted mergansers
on Cayuga Lake on the way there.
Also 2 mature bald eagles flying away from the big eagle nest south side of
Aurora.

I'm having quite a birdy day. On the way home from work I saw a Bald Eagle
flying over Fall Creek in Etna. Got out of the car at home heard something
scratching around and found a Ruffed Grouse stalking around in the woods a few
feet behind the bird feeder.

Had some FOY yard birds today, notably Baltimore Oriole and House Wren. Also
First-Ever yard bird--Northern Mockingbird. I've been waiting 37 years for
this! They have been in the neighborhood for many years but not right here. I
hope it sings at night. It'll make me feel like a kid again!
