Hi everyone,
There was a common tern (black tips on primaries seen) spotted at the red
lighthouse jetty (observed from Hog Hole this morning from 10-10:30am). The
tern was still there resting on the jetty when I left. If you're out by the
lake, feel free to take a look.
Happy birding,
A COMMON TERN just flew south past the spit at Myers Point and is now
perched on a small buoy to the south. Two immature BONAPARTE'S GULLS were
on the spit briefly, but no shorebirds to speak of. Willow Flycatcher and
Orchard Oriole are audible from Salt Point.
