[cayugabirds-l] Eastern Meadowlark
I spotted a first of the year Eastern Meadowlark near Aurora. The bird was in a field off of Carpenter Rd . about a quarter of a mile west of the intersection of Carpenter and Black Rock Rd. Take Poplar Ridge Rd east off of Rt.90 to Black Rock Rd., turn right and proceed south to Carpenter, turn right and proceed about a quarter of a mile. I will post a couple of photos on eBird. [cayugabirds-l] Eastern Meadowlark - Rodman Lott and Son Farm, Empire Farm Days - Seneca Falls
Steve Rae of Morristown, Vermont and I saw an Eastern Meadowlark at approximately 5:45 p.m. on the grounds at the Rodman Lott Sons Farm in Seneca Falls yesterday after obtaining permission to look for birds. There were numerous small flocks of MoDos but we didn't see any Killdeer or Upland Uppies Sandpipers - we were hoping topossibly catch a late migrant(s). [cayugabirds-l] Eastern Meadowlark
Today at noon on Center Road (at CR129) there was an Eastern Meadowlark perched on top of a hay bale. This is the third year I've seen one at this location. 2 years ago the snowy owl was still there when the meadowlark arrived.
