Hi all, I stopped at East Road at Montezuma NWR last night just before sunset, and although I didn't quite have time to do a thorough scan, the shorebird array was quite impressive. Activity is heating up at Knox-Marsellus Marsh in Montezuma NWR, as seen from East Road this evening. Shorebirding is as good as ever at Knox-Marsellus at Montezuma, viewing from Towpath Road right now. Highlights are 4 BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPERS running around together on the mud, 23 AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVERS, Red-necked and Wilson's phalaropes, Ruddy Turnstone, and 16 other species of shorebirds. Ja
