Hi birders,
We want to buy a Lab of O hat with the embroidered sapsucker as a gift, but we
can't seem to find one on the web sites for the Lab or Wild Birds Unlimited
(closed for the visitor center renovation). Thanks for any clues about where we
can get one. Apologies if this is off-topic for
There were 2 Swainson’s Thrushes and a Philadelphia Vireo at the end of Podell
bridge.

Hi all,
There was a LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH on the Wilson Trail North this morning.
It called several times as it passed over the trail and landed along the
northern leg of the stream at the footbridge.
There was also a Canada Goose on its nest and four AMERICAN WIGEON flew
into the back pond.

Hi all,
On the walk in to the Lab just now, Tim Lenz and I had a WILSON'S SNIPE
winnowing over the second and third parking lots. You could faintly here it
over the wind noise and the it gave great views with binoculars.
There are are also about 5 RUSTY BLACKBIRDS in between the first and second
Brad,
Could you be a bit more precise in what you mean by the First, second and
third parking lots at CLO, please?
I know the area well, but not which is considered the first or the second etc.
Thanks!

Hi Donna, First is the where employees park (where handicapped parking is),
the second is the employee lot near the exit from the parking areas and the
third lot is the one near Route 13.
I hope that clears it up! We're so used to having all the employees just
know, I didn't think it would be
Good morning,
This morning there is a mixed finch flock at the north feeders at the Lab of
Ornithology. This includes around 50 Redpolls, 5 Pine Siskins, 20 House Finches
and ~10 Goldfinches. These numbers are estimates and they keep changing as
birds move in and out. In addition, I've
Hi all,
A Hoary Redpoll was seen earlier in the afternoon at about eleven thirty
this morning at the lab feeders. The large group it was with seems to have
returned to the front feeder area, so it might be worth checking from time
to time.

Hi all,
There is currently what appears to be a CACKLING GOOSE (small, rounded
head; short, almost stubby bill, smaller than all the CANG) swimming around
near the small island in the front pond at the Lab of Ornithology.
I took a video with my phone through one of the scopes to check again and
There was a nice red Fox Sparrow in the feeder garden at the Lab yesterday
afternoon as well as Blue-Gray Gnatcatcher on the Wilson Trail.
