Unlike Asher’s noisy morning, mine was rather quiet. But I was greeted by one of the brown thrashers in the front yard and later the gray catbird I called ‘Noisy’ was predictably on my deck rail eating seeds, grape jelly and getting a bit of the orange I just put out.
‘Noisy’ often paces the deck rail calling loudly & insistently. Is he trying to get some of the many Lansing Station catbirds to come dine with him or to trying to set this up as part of his territory?
