Hi all, The corn stubble field just west of the radio tower on Mt Pleasant Rd had a flock of 30-ish Horned Larks foraging among numerous pigeons, crows, and Canada Geese this morning, around 10:15. And closer to the observatory, six Snow Buntings were foraging along the roadside. 12/31 - Just went to go see the Horned Larks. Saw about 25+ flitting between the fields on both sides of the road, near the end of Mt. Pleasant (at the junction to Mineah Road). Hi all, The local flock of Horned Larks is currently visible in the corn-stubble field on the south side of Mt Pleasant Road (east end). Hi all, Friday afternoon around 3:30, I watched a large flock of Horned Larks foraging along the roadside and in a newly harvested cornfield at the eastern end of Mt Pleasant Rd...a rough count turned up 70 but there were more.
