Folks in "Naturally Curious Day By Day.", by Mary Holland, I read this
account of a northern waterthrush display and am wondering if anyone has
ever witnessed it. See below.
Thanks

"Northern waterthrush has a flight song/display it typically gives on its
breeding ground in the evening. The
Northern waterthrush continues in wooded/swampy area on Armitage road -
seen on Seneca County side (south side of road) directly across from
prothonatory nest box.

Singing near our house this morning in a skunk cabbage bog, but also
95% sure I heard it yesterday, too. But didn't have time to track it
down yesterday.
Also, a Chipping Sparrow and a Spotted Sandpiper arrived today, and a
Fox Sparrow is still hanging around.

Hi Cayugabirders,
For the second day in a row there has been a Northern Waterthrush along the
stream that borders my property. Its alarm calls alerted me to its presence.
Quite a good yard bird really!
