We've had a female RBGB around the feeders for about two weeks, but no males until yesterday. What a relief to have him return and know things are okay. [cayugabirds-l] RBGB puzzle
We have had a male Rose-breasted Grosbeak at our feeder for several days, but this morning we have one that is white where it should be red. At first, I thought it might be a female, but there's no brown on it, the breast isn't streaked, and the rest of it is just like a male. Do males sometimes take a while to get the red breast? Is this a partial albino? Or what?
