Driving home just after noon today, as I approached my driveway, a group of Redpolls flew up from the field on the north side of Mt. Pleasant Rd, into the treetops on the south side. It looked like about 20-25 total. I got out to look at them. Quite a few flew back into the woods further. Others sat in the treetops close to the road, resting and preening.
