[cayugabirds-l] Young bird

We saw this little bird in our garden tonight - a young bird who wasn't sure what to do and eventually flew to a tree where a parent was waiting. They both then flew so we never got a gook look at the parent. Can someone help us ID this bird, please? I should know this but don't. https://www.
