This individual will be called upon to lead a team of potentially 20 people down the line, so Devops, scripts, automation, building from scratch must comes as second nature. *JOB DESCRIPTION:* Our client is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer who has worked on an enterprise DevOps team from the begging and helped set it up from scratch. - Needs to have foresight and future vision to plan and build in such a way that we can scale and expand what we do without having to re-think the solution - They need to be able to span from working in depth in the tools to solve our most complicated scenarios all the way to documenting the strategies and policies we need for the tools - Advanced troubleshooting skills - Find creative solutions to issues / don’t get stuck - Come up with options and succinctly present pros / cons so we can make informed decisions - Execute quickly with a high level of expertise - Need an expert in the CI and CD products that knows how to do it right - Should be able to determine what needs to be done, execute on tasks, and follow up with others to drive things to completion - 5+ years of experience administrating ticket management and issue tracking tools and processes for software development teams. - Strong experience with JIRA administration. Includes customizing JIRA projects with various schemas, complex workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes - 5+ years of experience administrating/facilitating source code repository tools, including SVN and BitBucket. - 5+ years of experience administrating/facilitating Continuous Integration (CI) tools, including Jenkins and Bamboo / BitBucket Pipelines. - Experience with the cloud versions of JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, and Bamboo / BitBucket Pipelines is preferred. - Experience translating Confluence documentation into JIRA. - Ability to translate high-level business requirements into Epics, User Stories, and tasks. - Strong knowledge of branching, merging, and versioning strategies. - Experience supporting a high availability (24x7) environment. - Working knowledge of Agile Scrum and Kanban. - Experience working with multiple software development teams in dispersed locations. - Ability to communicate at various technical levels to key stakeholders – including business users, analysts, managers, architects, developers, and testers. - Strong analytical skills. - Ability to construct custom dashboards using various filter types in JIRA. - Working understanding of source code (Java, .NET, scripts). - Knowledge of Linux and Windows platforms . - Experience writing scripts for development operations (test, build, deployment). *Dheeraj Chauhan | Sr. Technical Recruiter | RJT Compuquest* 222 N.
