The position reports to the Sr. Manager of Data Centers Operations, Storage, Backup & Recovery, and Disaster Recovery. The position will be working alongside other Storage and SAN Admins and will support day to day administration of large enterprise storage infrastructure. This position will be developing, refining and documenting Storage procedures. Monitoring the daily logs for all production systems and taking corrective action to ensure storage is available. Responsible for ITIL processes including change management, incident management, problem management, capacity management, and performance management. Responsible for maintaining storage documentation and standards.Will be required to participate in rotating 24x7x365 on call duties as well as off-hour planned activities. *Requirements:* · 5-7 years of experience administering, troubleshooting and supporting IT infrastructure specifically. o Administrating EMC Storage arrays (Vmax and XIO) required o Administrating NAS Storage including VNX required o Administrating Storage virtualization infrastructure (VPLEX and VSP) required o Administrating Hitachi VSP storage hardware and software include replication manager for HUR/SI, command suite and performance Tuning manager is required o All generic storage for the Mainframe, AS/400, and Client Server platforms o Ensures continuous integrity, availability, and performance of storage infrastructure o Tracks current utilization of all storage infrastructure assets o Optimizes storage utilization and infrastructure assets using automated tiered-storage model o EMC SRDF and Hitachi HUR replication to DR hot site o Disaster recovery backups and recovery processes o The design of storage management processes o The creation and enforcement of storage standards / policies. *QUALIFICATIONS:* · Analysis and Problem Solving: Provide timely and accurate problem resolution and/or recovery for all storage issues across all processing platforms. Utilizing root cause analysis techniques, develop and implement appropriate corrective services and/or preventive action with the development or technical support staff as required. Provide training and council to members of other groups on new procedures and/or best practices. · Scheduling and Organizing: Effectively structure the resources and activities of oneself and available technology resources to maximize productivity and insure deadlines are maintained. · Technical Planning and Control: Responsible for the planning and implementation of Storage Management hardware, software, and procedures. Create and produce both ad-hoc and scheduled Storage Management Allocation & Capacity Planning reports. Provide training and support to the Operations and user communities utilizing strong interpersonal skills, and clear, concise documentation. · Professional Currency: Keep abreast of state-of-the-art technological capabilities and proposed advances that may improve our operating environment.
