Is it documented that way anywhere? When I looked in the IOS 15.x
configuration guide under authentication proxy, it was still strictly
showing the ip authentication-proxy syntax. There was a separate section
for admission control, but it really doesn't cover very well how the two
integrate.

As far as I know, ip admission is just the new command and ip auth-proxy
left for compatibility.

These two features seemingly are very much the same. I'm trying to figure
out what the difference is between them? Do they do different things
It is a newer way + admission allows you you to configure a consent
feature.
