hi,   i have done some cups labs.   here my readings on it   1. we can do without AD 2. we cannot do without DNS. Casue DNS = SIP = DNS. Since we are purly working on sip stack i see we need this for presence to work properly   i have made a video on integration which i will be posting on my blog

Aamir, the only way I was able to get presence/IM working was to setup AD/DNS. I was never able to get it working without. I also found a pretty good book on CUPS which has some really good troubleshooting tips. BTW, this book says CUP without AD is not recommended. Does not say it won't wor
