Hi,
You can do it with CFNA field on the line settings. You must assing a CFNA
CSS which includes a partition of a route-pattern in order to match a cell
phone number.

Dear All,
Will appreciate any recommendation for a CDR reporting
software for a small environment running CUCM 7.1.
Many thanks in advance.

Wilson,
There is a known bug in CUCM 7.0 (not sure if it's in 7.1) where CSA will
disallow DHCP requests if you initially installed the CUCM software and did not
configure DHCP during the install process.
1.If CSA is enabled, CUCM-facilitated DHCP may fail. You may need to
disable CS
I've been assuming that the OSPF would be "built for you" much as it is in
the ipexpert environment since OSPF isn't really on the blueprint, so unless
you break it yourself I'd expect it to be fully functional.
Looking at section 1.xx of the blue print the only infrastructure you're

Thanks for your insight, I will look into it tonight. Seems that something
goofed up on the ASA configuration.
Btw, my ASA is 5505 the basic one with the switch port configuration, hence all
the ports are in the same VLAN (i.e. same security level) so I doubt there is
any ASA Logic involved in i
You should be able to see in the ASA if it receives the dhcp requests, if it
sends it out to the UCM and also if the UCM replies to the request. It was
quite a long time since I had anything to do with a ASA, but it has a sort of
sniffer capability built in to it and with that you should be able
Hi,
I just reread the OSPF chapters in my old CCNP course material as a fresh up
for my lab preparation and wonder if someone could tell me if we could, or
should, expect to get a single area or a multiple area topology in the lab?

Hi Geff,
I don't have a helper address assigned as its one the same VLAN that of the
CCM. If the phones get address from the ASA, then everything is fine, but it
simply not able to get the IP Address from the CCM.
I even reinstalled the CCM, still no dice...

I don't believe you can verify anything from the CLI. Its a common
complaint I've read.
Do you have helper addresses assigned? If you put a phone physically on
the same subnet as the pub does it work at all?

If it's in the same subnet run Wireshark on the VM host server using that
interface and watch for DHCP.

Hi folks,
Is it by design that Vol 1 PG11A,12A,13A has no "Solution Explanation" and
"Verification" Section? Or did I miss something or not have the most up to
date files? Without the "Solution Explanation" and "Verification" Section
some of the configuration steps are a bit hard to understan
The CCM server is on a VMWare host (bridged Network Card) connected to the ASA
on which the phones are (and all are in same VLAN/Security context and the
level is 100).
Is there any command on the CCM (CLI) which I can use to see why CCM is not
offering any DHCP Lease?

Is it in the same subnet as the DHCP clients (phones)? If it is in a different
subnet do you have ip helper-address with the CUCM IP configured on the
clients' default-gateway interface?

Hi Otto,
I found what the problem was. In the "Features and Services Guide" there
are 2 places where you can copy the URL, the first one is in Table 8-1
Configuration Checklist, and the 2nd place is in the section right after the
table. However, if you copy the URL from the table, it inserts
Hi All,
I know this should be incredibly easy, however for some reason my brain is not
helping with me on this.
I have installed a CUCM 7.1 Pub (no Sub) and want to make it a DHCP Server (as
normally required by most of the labs), even after disabling the CSA, my phones
are not taking any IP A

I am using IPCC Express 4.0(5) with CM 4.2. Your advice is Highly appreciated.

configure his/her cell number on no-answer and set the no answer to
something like 10 sec or ask your directory to do call forward to cell phone
before leaving the desk.
