hi Nicolas,
I followed the video . However here are the steps I followed:
1) add the prefix to the gateway endpoint ( make sure to note the type - say
subscriber ) eg. +1408
2) create a specific css and partition for predot numbers
3)add a calling party transformationnbsp; with predot strip
Then your gateway does not invoke the Callin party Transformation pattern
(Maybe a CSS/PT problem)
You should also have a Translation Pattern that strips \+1408 on the phone or
on the device pool

hi Nic,Thanks for your response. The calling party transformation pattern is the
DP and it has access to the partition of the phone and calling party
transformation. The translation pattern \+1408 is only for the outbound calls I
thought i.e if one has to dial from the missed calls lists. Am I
Your gateway will prefix your incoming PSTN call using the prefix that you
configure on the gateway page : This is globalization (on the Incoming calling
party number)
Then your phone will invoke a Translation pattern that will strip what you do
not want on the calling party number
Calling party transformation is not required is that what you are saying ?

Try it without the calling party transformation applied in the phone, in
this way you can be sure if the gateway is adding the +1408 to the 7 digits
ANI. If everything is ok you should see the full E.164 number in the screen
and also in the missed calls. If everything is ok check you
The first step in the gateway is the globalization of the number, the last
one is the localization of the number. Try to think it like two different
process.

Kick back and have a wonderful weekend, get back to a normal life and not
the life of a CCIE candidate.
We could also use a nice debrief of training things you did that helped
you.
I don't want NDA or even lab stuff just your ideas on what helped you most
to reach your goal.
Congrats, Justin.

Have not had a chance to try it but, if you change your route pattern to [5-9]XXX[0-9]XX and use the translation to remove the hash, it should eliminate the overlap on the 5th digit.Steve

hi Abel,
What I am trying to say is without applying the calling party
transformationnbsp; to the phone . The gateway is able to add the +1408 but
when Inbsp; am applying the calling party transformation to the phone.
In the ringing state it shows 7 digits (which is correct)nbsp; . However in
If you have +1408515 before you add the Calling Party Transformation
but after it does not, you have overlap in our CSS and other entities can
see our CPT. You need to create separate PT and CSS for your CPT.
