Hi everyone
Im just now near the end of lab 5 and Im going to attempt to do a full day

My question to the group is where the device based approach came from and
where I can find more info on it. Is this something they teach in the week

Hi Vikky
Im not 100% sure on that, but from what I remember, you cannot get a router
or switch to respond to NTP packets from a requesting device without the HQ
GW (in your case) being a master. So your HQ router would be master as well
as getting time from an external source. You can also set
Hi Vikky,

Dear Experts,
I was working yesterday on one of the online Rack Rentals.
I have registered all Phones , Gateways and everything to the Subscriber.
Something is very odd.
I was unable to make any calls from the phone at all and the calls were not
reaching the gateway.
I have deleted the SLRG and

It took me 4 attempts to pass the lab. Actually the first three attempts
helped to develop a strategy for passing. The proctor in RTP, David, thought

Hi Michael,
Where do where you prefer # ntp server [ip address] burst iburst ?
i mean, hq only or braches only or all locations
Also do you recommend to use ntp reference and location time zone in CUCM
datetime group or just create DT group and specify timezone for different
branches located in

Both. If the Sub is down, then the phones will register to the Pub (since it is
the second server in the CUCM group) and, for example, will get a list of
background images and ringing tones from the publisher.

If you're talking about loading/changing a static file, like phone
background or ringlist then you need to update all servers, where TFTP
service is active. e.g. SUB and PUB if you have TFTP service on both of
them. Don't forget to restart the TFTP service after uploading the files.

If I understand your question accurately, I don't configure ntp reference for

In cue. Do show tech-support. Look at top line. Does that ip addess match
what it should be per your service engine config? You might have to reload
the module . The cue only gets the ip addess updated on a reload. It might
be using something else.
