Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] UCCX challenges

2010-10-06 Thread CCIE Voice GMAIL
I know that sometimes the thing that fixes problems like this for me is
going to the Control Center and restarting the UCCX Engine. It's obviously
not ideal in the actual lab, but if it fixes it, run with it.

Also, as someone before me suggested, you should really do a Reactive Debug.
This will point out your problem most of the time.

Hope this helps,

Jeff

There is something wrong with the script. It could be a misspelled

too. Try doing. Reactive debug to see where the problem is in the script.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] MVA Troubleshooting lab 6 question 5.3

2010-10-06 Thread Daniel Berlinski
do a partial match or deploy your translation-profile to your pots inbound
dial-peer

dial-peer voice mvanumber pots
service mva
translation-profile incoming bla bla

in you translation-profile you change the ANI from whatever it is not
matching the remote destination to what matches

Alternatively you can do partial match and you will need to do and re-do the
service parameter configuraiton a few times until it takes effect. very
buggy in this version of cucm.

Make sure that the MVA number under Media resources matches the actual number
passed to UCM from the dial-peer.  (i.e. check your voice translation rules.)
The prompt will play whether that matches or not, but once passed to UCM, the
DNIS that UCM sees has to match the MVA DN.

2010-10-06 Thread Warren Heaviside (wheavisi)
It could be something as simple as having uploaded and changed your
script being referenced under Applications> Application Management and
then not "checking" the box CSQ and placing CSQ between the quotes. It
could also be the script itself. Start with the ICD.aef as a known good
and build from there. Make sense?

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience registering CIPC as their PSTN phone
while
using Proctorlabs? If so, which model did you register it as via the
http
control session?

Thanks,

I spent some time trying to figure out a fix but, i have not gotten the

and when i press 1 to call an extension, i try to place a call but the call
gets dropped.

I have my MVA number specified on UCM to be 5010, i will appreciate assistance
on how to fix thas issue,

i think  a translation profile was used in  the solutions to translate /5002/
/2123942123/
but its not clear how the translation pattern was invoked.

Thanks for clarifying.

I always put separate types into their own MRGs, and normally limit only one
resource to a MRG. It is good to know how I would want to order resources
if only in one MRG.

Sorry, let me try to explain with an example:

You have an MRGL with SW CFB (on UCM), MOH, SW MTP (on Router), and XCODE
resources available. If UCM needs to create a conference, it will select the
SW CFB. Ordering does not matter, because there aren't any other CFB
resources listed.

However, if UCM needs to allocate an MTP, keep in mind that XCODE resources
can be used as MTP, so the ordering of the MRG within the MRGL matters for
these two resources. Typically, you'd want to choose the SW MTP over the
XCODER (HW MTP), due to "cost", so you would want to list the MRG with the
SW MTP above the MRG with the XCODER.

The SW CFB and MOH could be in either MRG, or in a completely separate MRG.

UCM can use all of the resources within an MRG at the same time for various
purposes, however similar resources within a single MRG will be round-robin
load balanced.
One or two of the IPExpert labs touches on this in reference to MOH
resources.

Are you saying that when in a MRG, having both a CFB and an MTP would result
in only one resource being usable at a time? Or are you saying that having
a CFB and MTP in the same MRGL will result in one resource being usable at a
time?

I'm just confused at the wording.

Keep in mind these guidelines when configuring MRGL:
Resources are searched in the order listed in the MRGL, so if you insert
three MRGs into the MRGL, UCM will search the first MRG for an appropriate
resource, then search the second MRG, then search the third.

Resources within an MRG are selected in a round-robin fashion.

Ordering within the MRGL is only applicable to like-type of resources, so if
you only have a single CFB, MOH, and MTP, you can list them in the same MRG
because UCM won't can't use a CFB if you need to insert an MTP.

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] Vol2 Lab2 QOS 6.2 - What autoqos to use

2010-10-06 Thread David A
Hi All,

The Qos requirement says - HQ and BR2 - Configure LFI and an appropriate
queuing method. Also appropriate Serialisation Delay.

-- I think I need to configure LFI (not MLP) with "auto qos voip trust" and
the L2 overhead would be 9 bytes (so 9 + 2 + 20 = 31*8 = 248 *50 = 12400 =
12.4k per call)

Can some confirm this. I am confused.
