hi Nicolas, I followed the video . However here are the steps I followed: 1) add the prefix to the gateway endpoint ( make sure to note the type - say subscriber ) eg. +1408 2) create a specific css and partition for predot numbers 3)add a calling party transformationnbsp; with predot strip eg .nbsp; \+1408.XXX 4) go to phone and uncheck the Use DP calling party css and add the calling party css that was created in step 2 Now here is the problem for which I am confused if I call from pstn to ip phonenbsp; that is from 515 to 2022001 . Your gateway will prefix your incoming PSTN call using the prefix that you configure on the gateway page : This is globalization (on the Incoming calling party number) Then your phone will invoke a Translation pattern that will strip what you do not want on the calling party number That’s it ! Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] need to understand + dialing and number localization
Try it without the calling party transformation applied in the phone, in this way you can be sure if the gateway is adding the +1408 to the 7 digits ANI. If everything is ok you should see the full E.164 number in the screen and also in the missed calls. If everything is ok check you transformation, the one applied to the phone. The first step in the gateway is the globalization of the number, the last one is the localization of the number. Try to think it like two different process. Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Internal numbers overlap with one route pattern
Have not had a chance to try it but, if you change your route pattern to [5-9]XXX[0-9]XX and use the translation to remove the hash, it should eliminate the overlap on the 5th digit.Steve Original Message Subject: Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Internal numbers overlap with one route pattern From: Chrysostomos Christofi ch.christ...@logicom.net Date: Thu, September 20, 2012 8:45 am To: Kevin Spicer ke...@kevinspicer.co.uk Cc: "Online Study (ccie_voice@onlinestudylist.com)" ccie_voice@onlinestudylist.com Hi Kevin The delay is exactly the same Without translation pattern is 5 seconds. hi Abel, What I am trying to say is without applying the calling party transformationnbsp; to the phone . Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] need to understand + dialing and number localization
If you have +1408515 before you add the Calling Party Transformation but after it does not, you have overlap in our CSS and other entities can see our CPT. You need to create separate PT and CSS for your CPT.
