[OSL | CCIE_Voice] VG 202 integration CME (H323)

2013-11-18 Thread Vignesh Sethuraman
Hello All,

I have integrated VG202 with CME using H323. The integration is through IP
connectivity.

I can make calls from IPphone registered to CME to the Analog phone
connected to VG202.

I could not hear any dial-tone when the Analog phone goes off-hook nor I
can dial any Cisco IP phone connected to CME. I tried to connect to
different port on VG202, used different Analog phone, reloaded the VG202.
No luck.

Please find below the config of VG202.

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] Conference codec explanation

2013-11-18 Thread Samson Kareem
HI,

Can anyone explain to me the following logic:

I am making a conference call between 2 phones at site C and a phone at site B.
The conference resource is on the site B gateway.

When the call is up the sh sccp connections cmd shows that the codec negotiated
is G729b for the site C phones and
G711 for the site B phone. (CUCM region settings are G711 for intra-region
calls G729 for inter-region calls)

BR1#sh sccp conn
sess_idconn_id stype mode codec sport rport ripaddr
33556439 33554497 conf sendrecv g729b 18468 17118 192.168.45.130
33556439 33554495 conf sendrecv g729b 17116 29316 192.168.45.121
33556439 33554493 conf sendrecv g711u 18868 18282 192.168.35.121

My question is why is G729b negotiated? I was expecting G729...

If I remove G729b from the dspfarm profile, then G729ab is negotiated and if I
remove that G729 gets negotiated.

It's not codec complexity, as 729b is high complexity. I thought it might be
configuration order of the codecs
but removing and re-adding a codec does not make any difference.

Sorry if I'm missing something obvious, it's been a long day but would
appreciate it if someone could explain this to me.

thanks in advance
Samson

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] B-ACD and MoH Multicast

2013-11-18 Thread Ivan Darío Sánchez Calderón
Hi,

When you configure B-ACD is mandatory to configure MoH on the Router, it is
also Mandatory to configure Multicast MoH on the CUCM? or how the phones
know in which ip address they have to listen? I am confused about that.
