Cliff is saying maybe the phone is in a partition where the trunk has a CSS

Try this,
Remove the the PRI's configuration, set the transcoding up then setup the
PRI afterwards.

Remove the FXS, configure Transcoding for 2 sessions, see if it works then
shutdown and plug the fxs back in. Always insert the VIC's from right to
left.

CDP isn't a duplex issue. If the port is connecting to a PC, sometimes it's

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Dial-peer overlapping

2009-03-30 Thread Duy Nguyen
Chris,

It actually keeps hitting the "Dial-peer voice 2300 voip" because of a
shorter pattern when I dial 2400. I was able to achieve this by making it
more explicit.

Allow to dial HQ phones
!
dial-peer voice 2300 voip
 preference 1
 destination-pattern [23][0-1]..
 session target ras
 tech-prefix 1
 dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric
 ip qos dscp cs3 signaling
 no vad
!

Allow to go to HQ Phone's VM directly
dial-peer voice 22000 voip
 preference 1
 destination-pattern 22...
 session target ras
 tech-prefix 1
 dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric
 ip qos dscp cs3 signaling
 no vad
!

Allow to hit the CME ph's VM directly. Also put in 24001 pattern into E.164
in CUE.
ephone-dn 20
number 2400.
preference 0 secondary 9
huntstop
call-forward all 4111
call-waiting beep

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] Dial-peer overlapping

2009-03-30 Thread Duy Nguyen
How would I achieve this?

User at Site C should press 24XXX, then it will forward to user's voice
mailbox greeting.

E.g. when user dial 24001, then it will be forwarding directly to 4001 VM
and leave a message. This call routing should work over the WAN also.

My solution:
ephone-dn 20
number 24...
call-forward all 4111

Problem is:
dial-peer voice 2300 voip
destination-pattern [23]...
session target ras
tech-prefix 1
dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric
ip qos dscp cs3 signaling
no vad
!

Another issue, it is also asking for the same on CCM side when user dials
22XXX should go to VM directly and should also work over the WAN. From CME
could not dial 22XXX since it keeps hitting Dial-peer voice 2300 voip.

If I change the
dial-peer voice 2300
destination-pattern [23][0128]..

Still won't achieve calling to Main site phone's VM.

If the exam states to use the SUB as primary and PUB as secondary for
everything, unless noted to not too, then it's a given that you should know
only gw-priority will work.

2009-03-28 Thread Duy Nguyen
Reset your RIS collector, also verify on CCM admin page of PUB and SUB that
it shows registered. Sometimes The Pub doesn't reflect even though the SUB
shows registered.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] VMware ESXi for CCM servers

2009-03-22 Thread Duy Nguyen
After install, you can give it limited memory and it will work. Initial is
when it needs the resources. Does UCCx 7 runs on Windows or is it Linux.
If it's Linux just choose redhat 4/5.

Cliff,

When you dial the international number with #, it will conclude that's the
route pattern to take and Call Manager will not send the #.

Question 2, you can used either as long as TEHO works.
