[OSL | CCIE_Voice] CCIE Written expiration question

2012-10-11 Thread Randall Crumm
Hi,
I have a question about my written CCIE test. I understand you have to take
your first lab attempt within 18 months and the next one 12 months afterwards.
I have done that.

My question is there a cap at 3 years where no matter how many times I have
taken the lab, do I need to take the written again or does the written get
extended for another 12 months?

Also does anyone know an email or contact person I can ask at Cisco.

Have a great day!

Thanks,
Randall

HI,
I received a reply back from Cisco. I wanted to confirm.

You do only have 3 years for your written test. Then you need to retake it.

Thanks everyone for you help!

Have a great day!

Thanks,
Randall

You have to take the written exam again if you don't pass the lab within 3
years of passing the written exam.

http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/ccie/policies/index.html#~Written

Candidates must make an initial attempt of the CCIE lab exam within 18
months of passing the CCIE written exam. Candidates who do not pass must
re-attempt the lab exam within 12 months of their last scored attempt
in order for their written exam to remain valid. If a candidate does not
pass the lab exam within three years of passing the written exam, he or
she must retake the written exam before being allowed to attempt the
lab exam again
