CRS documentation should inform customers by means of a warning note
that prompts, scripts and any document should not be copied using file
system and should be uploaded using Appadmin. Using file system method
may cause a total loss of files after a node manager restart or when
the system is rebooted.

It is nice to hear that the issue has been solved.

BTW, you can always validate your scripts before upload, and even
Reactive Debug them.

If I want to make a modified version of a default script , with CCX Editor
I can open it  then save with another name (same folder )  start editing
it.

After all , new script is available to be associated to any application  (
SSCRIPT[..aef])

Do I need to upload this new script using script management GUI ?  If I do
so I can see two scripts with same name ( one is SCRIPT  other is SSCRIPT
) under application management.

I saw somebody told GUI upload may cause appadmin service go to partial
service. Anybody experienced this?

One TAC Engineer told me to always upload script using GUI.

And I never store my custom Scripts in the default repository (Program
Files --- wfavvid --- Scipts).

I make a copy of default script from the repository to desktop (or any
other location, but not the same as default repository), edit it as
necessary, and then use the Appadmin GUI to upload my new edited script.

Based on that I have never experienced problems with duplicate script in
the repository.

The script will not show up unless you load it via GUI, also you should
always refresh the script and/or app when changing the script. The GUI will
not allow you to upload a duplicate script as the defaults are in a custom
directory that you cannot save to via the GUI. So you will not run into
that problem but i would highly recommend changing the name so you know
which one is the custom scripts

But in Proctorlabs , I saved there to save time  seen some people doing
so. But in my last session I was never able to take Appmanager service to 
IN SERVICE  ( Restarted CCX Engine , Node Manager , Server ,  refreshed
all scripts  applications  finally deleted all my scripts ) still it
never came to IN SERVICE
