We seek a post-doctoral scientist with strong background in protein biochemistry and structural biology, and interest in novel drug discovery to address the unmet medical need in rare diseases.
The Metabolism & Organelle Biogenesis group (MOB) at the Structural Genomics Consortium, University of Oxford combines structural, biochemical, and chemical biology methods to dissect the molecular mechanisms underlying inherited enzyme disorders. The post-holder will drive a Wellcome Trust-funded project involving close collaborations with the pharmaceutical industry. Experience with protein expression, purification, crystallization and biochemical characterization is required. Prior training in X-ray structure determination will be an advantage.
