2 PostDoctoral positions are available in the Structural Biology and Biophysics Unit @ Fondazione Ri.MED (www.fondazionerimed.eu).
The successful candidates will carry out scientific projects in the field of structural biology and biophysics aimed at understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying oncological and neurodegenerative pathologies with particular emphasis on drug discovery. In particular, the research activity will aim to provide biophysical and structural information of biological phenomena guided by protein folding, protein aggregation and protein-protein interactions, with the ultimate goal of discovering new drugs. The Ri.MED seeks two candidates with specific skills on advanced biophysical techniques such as nuclear magnetic resonance, calorimetry, surface plasmon resonance, high resolution atomic force microscopy and crystallography, complemented by consolidated technical and methodological skills in molecular biology and biochemistry.
