Dear Xinghua,
it seems that you have hit a bug: assert violation indicates that an internal
error has occurred, i.e. some situation was hit that the program is not
prepared to handle.
There must be something very special about your dataset - maybe a very small
number of reflections, maybe only negative intensities, maybe something else -
which triggers the bug.
Please help me fix this - send at least XDS.INP, INTEGRATE.HKL, and all *.cbf
files to me, by email, or put them into a Dropbox folder and send me the link.
thank you,
Kay

Dear CCP4ers,
Recently I am trying to process a dataset with XDS program, but during the
intergrate and scale procedure it always ended with the following warning:
!!! ERROR !!! ASSERT VIOLATION IN RESTHKL
**
CORRECTION PARAMETERS FOR THE STANDARD ERROR OF REFLECTION INTENSITIES
**
The variance v0(I) of the intensity I obtained from counting statistics is
replaced by v(I)=a*(v0(I)+b*I^2). The model parameters a, b are chosen to
minimize the discrepancies between v(I) and the variance estimated from
sample statistics of symmetry related reflections. This model implicates
an asymptotic limit ISa=1/SQRT(a*b) for the highest I/Sigma(I) that the
experimental setup can produce (Diederichs (2010) Acta Cryst D66, 733-740).

How would this happen? How can I get through this?
Thanks in advance for your kind assistance.
Best wishes
