Dear CCP4bb and CCPEM members,

Up to two Research Associate positions in cellular structural biology of
transcription factors are available immediately in the Berger lab,
University of Bristol UK, funded by the Wellcome Trust.

As part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team, the Research Associates will
perform international leading basic research with the objective of
unlocking the structure, function and cellular assembly of key eukaryotic
transcription factor complexes, applying and integrating recombinant
multiprotein expression tools, structural biology (X-ray, EM), biophysics,
proteomics, cell biology and biochemistry techniques. Experience with
recombinant expression of multiprotein complexes, structural biology
methods (X-ray, EM) and cell biology techniques are highly
desirable.Experience with complex multicomponent human transcription
factors is a plus.

Applicants should hold, or expect to hold shortly, a PhD in biochemistry,
molecular biology, structural biology (X-ray, EM) or a related subject.

The Research Associates will benefit from the cutting-edge Bristol Biosuite
for structural biology and the Synthetic Biology centre (BrisSynbio,
www.bristol.ac.uk/brissynbio/) and synergize with our internationally
leading academic collaborators (Laszlo Tora, IGBMC; Patrick Schultz, IGBMC;
Marc Timmers, Utrecht; Christiane Schaffitzel, Bristol; and Juri
Rappsilber, Berlin).
