At LabGenius, we’re building a platform to discover revolutionary biological medicines coupling wet-lab techniques with machine learning and automation. We have exciting growth plans for the next 18 months and are looking for a focused Protein Scientist to join us on our mission!
In my team we clone, express (in E.coli/mammalian cells), purify and characterise (by biochemical/cell assays and biophysics techniques such as MST/SPR) proteins that come from the machine learning pipeline, both in a high throughput (96 1ml cultures) and large scale preps using AKTA chromatography systems. We are looking for more junior candidates who want to learn new things, ideally a graduate with a couple years experience (i.e. someone who has done a long BSc/MSc lab project where they became independent in the lab, or an industrial placement) or someone immediately post-PhD. There are plenty of learning opportunities here as we are a very multidisciplinary team with robot engineers, library design scientists, computer scientists and business development all working together closely.
