Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in my lab at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. Multiple projects are available involving receptor tyrosine kinases, GPCRs, structure based drug design, protein engineering, and developing methods for membrane protein crystallization. The fellow will also be expected to come up with her own project ideas. The laboratory benefits from collaborations with industry and the medical school to pursue broad, interdisciplinary approaches to challenging structural biology problems.
I am seeking a highly motivated scientist with extensive experience in subcloning, protein expression, purification, and characterization. Expertise with multiple expression systems including E. coli, yeast, and cell free systems is highly valued. Experience with membrane proteins will be very helpful. Applicants should have at least one first author publication. The fellow must be able to work independently and enjoy mentoring students. Applicants should send their CV and contact information of three referees by email to me (hng @ hawaii.edu). Ho Leung Ng University of Hawaii at Manoa Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry
